    This is the entry level scuba certification course. It provides the fundamental knowledge and skills to scuba dive. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. This certification is valid for charters, the rental of scuba diving equipment and to fill scuba cylinders with air.

  • Sea Hunt 2-Tank Spearfishing Gulf Trip (Saturday, 11 September 2010)

    Divers are not required to spearfish, but hunting is the object of this trip. Trip is limited to 8 divers. Sites for this trip may include one or more of the following: wrecks, man-made reefs (holding an enormous number and variety of fish) or natural reefs. Depths are 45' to 65" and the experience level is intermediate to advanced. Florida fishing license is required. Departs at 8:00AM and returns to the dock around 2:00PM. Divers should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure for check-in.

    This course is designed to give the open water or advanced diver an opportunity to improve their skills, knowledge and equipment configuration, thereby increasing their safety and efficiency. This course is also intended to prepare the advanced diver for the rigors of technical diver training.
    The course fee includes the books, certification card fee and Instructor. Students are required to have certain equipment to dive during this course including a 7 foot hose for their regulator and a surface marker buoy with overpressurization valve or a lift bag.     During this course the student will learn the proper way to administer oxygen during an emergency. This training will include the assembly, use and basic maintenance of constant flow and demand valve oxygen delivery systems.
    This course is a great addition to the First Aid/CPR/AED course and is a requirement for all Leadership courses taught at Depth Perception Dive Center.

    This is the ultimate in underwater hunting! Divers are not required to spearfish, but hunting is the object of the trip. Trip is limited to 6 divers.     This course is to provide the diver with the information necessary to utilize Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) as a breathing medium. Nitrox can be used to extend your bottom time or as an additional safety measure while utilizing your air tables or air computer. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to utilize Nitrox mixtures up to 40% (oxygen content) in open water activities without direct supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.
